Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 October 2026 · Pop Out · United Kingdom

This policy explains how Pop Out (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use the Pop Out app, website, or business tools. It is written for students and for venues, clubs, bars, and promoters. Questions: official.popout.app@gmail.com.

Who we are

Pop Out is a student-only map of house parties, pre-drinks, club nights, and casual meetups. We start in Nottingham and intend to expand across the UK. We are the controller of personal data described here, unless we say a partner is the controller (for example Stripe for card payments).

What we collect

Why we use it

We use this information to run Pop Out: create accounts, show the map, let hosts approve guests, sell and resell tickets at face value, verify venues, take a 6% commission on venue ticket sales through Stripe Connect, improve the product, and keep people safe. We rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a student-only map, and legal obligations (for example fraud and accounting). Where UK law needs consent (some marketing), we will ask.

Who sees it

How long we keep it

We keep account, listing, and ticket records for as long as you have an account and for a reasonable period after (for disputes, refunds, and legal duties). You can ask us to delete your account. We may retain limited records where we must (for example tax or a safety incident).

Your rights

If you are in the UK you can ask for a copy of your data, corrections, deletion, restriction, or to object to certain processing, and you can complain to the ICO. Email official.popout.app@gmail.com. We will need to confirm it is you before we act.

Children

Pop Out is for verified students. It is not aimed at children under 16. If you believe we hold data for someone who should not have an account, contact us.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top will change. Continued use after a change means you have read the new version.
