Terms & Conditions
Last updated 10 October 2026 · England and Wales
These terms govern the Pop Out app, website, and business dashboard. By creating an account or listing a night you agree to them, and to our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use rules. Contact: official.popout.app@gmail.com.
The service
Pop Out is a student-only map of house parties, pre-drinks, club nights, and meetups. We do not run the nights you see on the map. Hosts and venues are responsible for their events, door policy, and the law. We provide software: pins, requests, tickets, and a venue dashboard.
Student accounts
- You must be a current student and able to verify that with a student ID during signup.
- One person, one account. Keep your password to yourself.
- Casual pins hide the address until the host approves you. Do not share a door location you were given in confidence.
- You may list a casual night you actually host. You choose who is approved.
- Tickets you buy can be viewed or resold at face value on Pop Out. Scalping and markup are not allowed.
Venues, clubs, bars, and promoters
- Commercial listing needs a verified business account. Listing on the student map is free.
- Ticket sales take a 6% commission. There is no minimum platform fee. Payouts go to the bank account you connect with Stripe Connect. Ticket money does not sit with Pop Out.
- You set prices, capacity, and ticketed nights from the dashboard. You must be authorised to represent the business.
- The dashboard demo on the website is illustrative. Live tools are switched on after we verify ownership.
Payments
Card payments are handled by Stripe. Refunds, chargebacks, and tax on ticket sales are between you, Stripe, and (where relevant) the venue, except for our 6% commission on completed venue ticket sales. We may withhold or reverse payouts where fraud or a breach is reasonably suspected.
Acceptable use and suspension
You must follow the Acceptable Use rules. We can refuse, suspend, or delete an account, listing, or ticket if we believe these terms or the law have been broken, or if we need to protect other users.
Content you post
You keep ownership of photos and copy you upload. You give us a licence to host and display them on Pop Out so the map and tickets work. Do not post anything you do not have the right to use.
Liability
Nights on the map are organised by students and venues, not by Pop Out. We are not liable for injury, loss, cancelled nights, or what happens at a door. The app and site are provided as available. Nothing in these terms limits liability that UK law says cannot be limited (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Changes
We may change the product and these terms. If a change is material we will try to notice you in the app or by email. If you keep using Pop Out after the update, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may bring a consumer claim in your local UK court where the law allows.
